Summer doesn't have to be over with this Sweet Ginger BBQ chicken!
90 minutes, 4-6 servings
Ingredients
- 1 Cup of Adrienne Cheatham's Sweet Ginger BBQ sauce
- 4 pounds of bone-in, skin-on chicken parts (legs, thighs, wings, breasts)
- EVOO
- Kosher salt
Preparation
- Heat up your grill to high heat.
- Coat the chicken pieces with olive oil and sprinkle with salt on all sides.
- Sear the chicken skin side down, until it starts to crisp up, about 10 minutes.
- Flip the chicken to be skin side up.
- Lower the heat to medium.
- Cover the grill and and cook for 20 minutes.
- Baste with Sweet Ginger BBQ sauce.
- Cover the grill and continue cooking for another 15 minutes.
- Continue turning the chicken pieces over and basting them with sauce every 5 minutes or so, for another 15 minutes or until chicken is done.
- The chicken is done when the internal temperature of the chicken pieces are 160°F for breasts and 170°F for thighs, or if when inserting a knife into the thickest part of the chicken the juices run clear.
