Hi fam! It's time for an ingredient spotlight. Instead of using red tomatoes in our Cherry Tomato Sauce and Cherry Tomato Arrabbiata (like most sauces you might find at the store) we went with something a little different... a yellow cherry tomato. Called a "datterini" tomato, our cherry tomatoes are sourced from a 24-farm cooperative in Campania, Italy, committed to creating a fully traceable Italian product from seed-label.
You might be asking yourself, why didn't we source our tomatoes from the US? Well the truth is we tried to, but we couldn't find a sweet, clean-label product that tasted as good as what was available in Italy. And, are you at all that surprised? The Italians know how to grow their tomatoes.
The tomatoes we use in our pasta sauces are non-gmo and free of preservatives and added sugar. What's more, they are are super sweet and low acidity so easier on the digestive track. We care about what you care about: taste, quality and caring for your health and the environment.
